5. From erotica to Greek mythology to lesbian Bigfoot...
Four weeks in reading, writing and podcasting
We’re halfway through Season 3 already!
It’s been a heck of season so far with some brilliant books, new genres and some really great discussions. And we also hit a big podcast subscriber milestone on Spotify which was extremely exciting - big things are coming, folks.
Plus, there was the fact that we travelled across Germany for 11 days last month and it was a beautiful, exhausting Autumn dream. You can go and check out our Instagram for photos, reels and fun, and blog posts are coming to Books, Burgers and Backpacks!
It’s been a busy few weeks…
The Dark Academicals
Episode three of ‘The Dark Academicals’ this season starred our most risqué book yet - the brilliant ‘A Lesson in Thorns’ by Sierra Simone! But can a book with erotic elements be dark academia?

Books, Burgers and Backpacks
Lesbian comedy horror Bigfoot? Sophie reviewed the weird and wonderful ‘Patricia Wants to Cuddle’ by Samantha Allen.
‘A Lesson in Thorns’ got the review treatment from Sarah next. Gothic, dark academia erotica? Yes. Please.
On a reviewing streak, Sophie also reviewed ‘The Song of Achilles’, waxing lyrical about how special books are that make you cry.
